The University Office, acting as the first-instance service authority, is responsible for handling all employment and salary-related matters concerning the public-law employees (civil servants) assigned to the university—both academic and general staff. Appeals against decisions issued by the University Office are decided by the Federal Minister.
In addition, the University Office manages the personnel administration of former contract employees.
